This is the first in short series of food documentaries highlighting some unique flavors from local business in the Coachella valley. I watch a lot of food vlogs on youtube and Food Tv shows and this is my attempt at creating something to showcase the food in my area.

Sixth Street Coffee

This highlights at the time the first dedicated coffee shop in the Eastern Coachella Valley that isn't a starbucks.

Sabores

Sadly this ice cream shop no longer exists, but no other place in the entire Coachella valley has ice cream that tastes quite like this. Perhaps it was the training that the owner got in Italy that made it stand out, even common flavors like Rocky Road, Mango, Strawberry tasted on a whole new level. It was something to be savored not eaten. I don't think the public were quite ready for this artisanal ice cream.

Alma Ochoa - Toro

I filmed a few music videos for one of my classmates. She is from the Purepecha Culture from Michoacan. and she has a few songs under her belt. Mostly sung in her native tongue. At the time I was looking to do some creative projects while working my day job. This is the result.
